Exxaro Resources, one of South Africa’s largest black-empowered diversified mining companies, is officially inviting high-achieving graduates to join its 2026 Professional-in-Training (PIT) Programme. This structured development journey is designed to transform graduates into industry leaders through high-level mentorship, operational projects, and innovation-led research.

While the administrative hub is in Centurion, successful candidates must be prepared for work placements across Exxaro’s core operational sites in Limpopo and Mpumalanga.

Exxaro is recruiting for two specialized streams. Ensure you use the correct reference number for your application:

1. Financial Accountancy (PIT)

Qualification: BCom Financial Accountancy.
Focus: Corporate finance, reporting, and financial management within a mining context.

2. Data Science (PIT)

Ref No: EXX251112-1
Focus: Digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning, and Data Modelling.
Exposure: Working with cutting-edge mining technology systems and business intelligence tools.

Minimum Entry Requirements

Education: Relevant Degree (BCom for Finance / Science or Eng for Data Science).
Academic Record: Strong transcripts showing consistency and problem-solving ability.
Relocation: Must be willing to relocate to operational mines in Limpopo (e.g., Lephalale) or Mpumalanga.
Competencies: Innovation mindset, leadership potential, and strong communication skills.
